Confirm Mason County Jail Release

The jail-building address appearing in county utility material is 125 Westmoreland Street. Neither source publishes the physical release door, a family waiting area, property-return procedure, release hours, or a weekend and holiday process. Do not infer those logistics from the two addresses.

Mason County Jail Court Records
The court file often supplies the durable reason behind a jail release. County-level criminal pleadings go to the Mason County Clerk. Were Mason Jail Inmates Transferred?
A 2006 report about Mason's jail described a then-five-bed facility and prisoners housed in Comanche County. This is dated history, not evidence of a current overflow contract, current capacity, or present destination. No current overflow county was verified.
The history still makes transfer a vital question. Small local custody can end because another agency receives the person. Ask Mason for the destination and receiving agency rather than treating the missing name as proof of freedom. If the record names another county, contact that jail and create a new VINE registration if supported. If it names TDCJ, use TDCJ identifiers. Use BOP or ICE only when the record points to those systems.
